WHAT GENERAL LINE SERVICES DOES
Three Trades. One Licensed Contractor.
Most contractors do one of these. Manuel does all three, which is why a lot of Suffolk County homeowners end up calling him twice.
ROOF
Roof Rejuvenation
An ageing asphalt roof usually isn't worn out — it's dried out. A bio-based treatment restores the oils, adds up to 18 years to a roof that qualifies, and costs a fraction of a Suffolk County replacement. Done in a few hours, no tear-off.

Interior Renovations
Kitchens, bathrooms, painting, trim and finish work. The interior side of the business Manuel has been running for years — an honest scope, a written quote, and no surprises halfway through.

Line & Low Voltage
Telecommunications wiring, low-voltage runs, exterior line installation and service. The trade the company was built on. It's the reason there's a "Line" in the name.

BAY SHORE, NEW YORK
We Were Already on Your Street.
Long Island homeowners have spent more than a decade being circled by contractors who showed up after a storm, took a deposit, and were gone by spring. Everybody here knows somebody it happened to.
General Line Services isn't that. Manuel has been running line work and interior renovations out of Bay Shore for years — kitchens, bathrooms, painting, telecom wiring. Some of the people who call about a roof this month are people he has already worked for. He is licensed in Suffolk County (HIC #PENDING), he lives in the service area, and if something isn't right he is a fifteen-minute drive away, not a disconnected number.
Three trades under one licence isn't a contractor spreading himself thin. It's a contractor his customers keep calling back.

THE NEWEST THING WE DO
Your Roof Probably Isn't Worn Out. It's Dried Out.
An asphalt shingle is a fibreglass mat saturated with asphalt oils, with ceramic granules pressed into the surface. Those oils are what keep it flexible and keep the granules attached. Forty-six inches of rain a year, an 83-degree July, January nights in the low twenties and salt air off the bay pull them out — and when a roofer looks at a fifteen-year-old Long Island roof and calls it "end of life," what he is usually describing is a chemical condition, not a structural one.
Rejuvenation puts the oils back. It's a bio-based, soy-derived treatment that penetrates the shingle rather than coating it, it takes two to three hours with no tear-off, and on a roof that qualifies it can add up to 18 years. Not every roof qualifies, and Manuel will tell you if yours doesn't.
Not every roof qualifies. Rejuvenation works on asphalt shingle roofs that are still structurally sound — typically 6 to 20 years old, with the shingle body intact. If your roof has active leaks, widespread missing shingles, deck rot, or damage beyond what rejuvenation can address, Manuel will tell you that at the free inspection and you'll owe nothing.
"Two roofers told me I needed a full tear-off. Manuel got up there, took photos of my own shingles, and walked me through exactly what he could and couldn't do. Cost me a fraction of what I'd set aside."

"He did our kitchen, and when we finally got to the bathroom two years later there was no question who was doing it. Same crew, same guy answering the phone."
— [REPLACE — first name], Sayville
"Clean runs, everything labelled, and he actually explained what he'd done before he left. That's rarer than it should be."

The Same Four Steps, Whatever the Job.
You Call, or You Book
Roof inspections book straight onto Manuel's calendar. For renovations or line work, call or text him and describe what you're looking at.
Manuel Comes and Looks
He does the assessment himself — on the roof, in the kitchen, at the panel. No estimator, no call centre, no salesman in your living room.
A Written Scope and a Fixed Price
Plain English, in writing, before anything starts. If the job isn't right for you, he'll say so — that includes telling you a roof needs replacing rather than treating.
The Work, and the Paperwork
The job gets done and you get documentation: photos, a completion report, and on roof rejuvenation a 6-year transferable warranty certificate.

FAQ
Questions, Answered.
Three things: roof rejuvenation, interior renovations — kitchens, bathrooms, painting and finish work — and telecommunications and low-voltage line work. Manuel Lojano owns the company, is licensed in Suffolk County, and runs the jobs himself out of Bay Shore.
Yes. General Line Services holds Suffolk County home improvement licence #PENDING and carries liability insurance in New York. The licence number is at the bottom of every page on this site.
Suffolk County — the Towns of Islip and Babylon, into Smithtown, western Brookhaven and eastern Huntington. Bay Shore, Islip, West Islip, Brentwood, Central Islip, Sayville, Patchogue, Deer Park, Babylon, Lindenhurst and the towns around them. If you're near the edge of that, call and ask.
Free roof inspections book directly on the calendar on this site. For renovation or line work, call or text Manuel and tell him what you're looking at — that's faster than a form, and he quotes that work by phone anyway.
A bio-based oil treatment for asphalt shingles. It's not a replacement, not a coating and not a cleaning. It penetrates the shingle and restores the flexibility and granule adhesion that heat, cold and salt air have stripped out, and on a roof that qualifies it can add up to 18 years. There's a full explanation on the roof rejuvenation page.
Yes — and that's part of how the business is built. Roof rejuvenation needs a dry surface and mild weather, so that work runs roughly April through November. Interior renovations don't care what the weather is doing. Manuel works outside in the warm months and inside in the cold ones.
